by Adam Rubin (Author), Daniel Salmieri (Illustrator)

The Fookwire-Squirrel Saga continues..

Old Man Fookwire’s one passion in life is to paint birds in his backyard. Grumpiness comes naturally to him. So when the squirrels get in his way of painting, Fookwire would frown, shake his fist and cry “Those Darn Squirrels!”. Now one day, the squirrels in Fookwire’s backyard (these are smart squirrels who know aerodynamic engineering!) get curious and decide to fly south along with the birds. And when the squirrels finally “land”, they have such a wonderful time. But old man Fookwire is all alone back home and the squirrels feel sorry for him. So they make a collect call to grumpy old Fookwire!

Those Darn Squirrels Fly South inside

What a hilarious tale. Rubins’ third tale in the “Darn Squirrels” series is complete with Fookwire’s trademark expressions such as “Great googley-moogley”. The clever language, humorous situations and funny illustrations will keep you laughing, shaking your fists and saying “Those Darn Squirrels!”
